Back to School: Learning, Wellness, and Music with Kate

The hallways are buzzing again—it’s back-to-school season! Students have been settling into routines, diving into academics, and reconnecting with friends. Along with our focus on classroom learning, we’ve also made space for something equally important: social-emotional wellness.

One of the highlights this fall is welcoming back Kate with Music Therapy. Her sessions bring so much joy and connection to our students. Whether it’s singing, moving, or exploring rhythm together, music gives our learners a powerful way to express themselves and build confidence. The smiles and laughter say it all!

Alongside the fun, we’re also working hard on our academics—tackling reading, writing, math, and beyond. But it doesn’t stop there. Each day, we weave in activities that support social-emotional growth. Students are practicing skills like teamwork, self-regulation, and mindfulness—tools that will serve them both inside and outside the classroom.

It’s been a wonderful start to the year, full of energy, learning, and new beginnings. We can’t wait to see how our students continue to grow, not just academically, but also in the ways they connect, share, and care for one another.
